Matthew Perez, Worship Minister
Matthew Perez is an active composer, educator, and music director currently working in the New York metropolitan area. During his time as an undergraduate, he studied at Old Dominion University under notable American composer Adolphus Hailstork, jazz pianist John Toomey, and choral director Nancy Klein. His music has been performed on several occasions in both Virginia and New York, and he recently completed the Aaron Copland School of Music M.A. program in Composition while fulfilling commissions, directing the Queens College New Music Group, and studying with professors Bruce Saylor and Jeff Nichols. His current plans include finishing a second master's degree in Musicology while using his talents to glorify God through worship.

Lucia Gold, Office Manager
Lucia was born in Bloomington, Illinois and attended Illinois Wesleyan University, graduating with a BS in Education. She also studied at Illinois State University, where she worked on a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology. She was a key account sales manager for Triboro Quilt Manufacturing Corp. in White Plains, NY for over 20 years. Currently residing close by in Mamaroneck, NY, she brings to First Baptist her office and management skills, as well as her experience at Woodlawn Heights Presbyterian Church in the Bronx, where she served for several years as board President. Lucia puts her computer and organizational skills to good use by assisting Rev. Dalton and church treasurer Pat Ehresmann as well as all the members of the Church. She extends a greeting to the congregation and encourages everyone to stop by the office and say hello.
Kate Wiswell, Lead Singer
Kate grew up singing classical and contemporary music in her hometown church and is excited to be a part of the musical team at First Baptist. She holds a master’s degree in Vocal Performance from The Aaron Copland School of Music. She enjoys singing opera and has been honored to sing in many productions, primarily in the New York metropolitan area. She was also delighted to join the Josh Groban “Stages” Tour in 2015 and again in the Josh Groban Summer Tour of 2016 as a supporting vocalist. She loves singing with and for the congregation at First Baptist and is thrilled to serve here.
