Pastor Tim began serving as our pastor in 2014. He was born in Chicago and has lived in Tennessee, Louisiana, and Philadelphia, PA prior to coming to Westchester. He felt a call to ministry at a young age and graduated from Carson-Newman University (in Jefferson City, TN) with a BA in Religion and Psychology. He went on to seminary at Palmer Theological Seminary in the Philadelphia area to receive his Master of Divinity degree. Recently he got a Sacred Theology Masters at Yale Divinity School. Pastor Tim has a wonderful wife, Doris, and two marvelous children, who are his pride and joy: Evangeline and Isaac. In his free time, he enjoys running, watching/talking baseball, overpriced coffee, and reading novels. Pastor Tim is passionate about building a sense of connection within our church family, developing a sense of compassion for our White Plains community, and demonstrating a sense of courage through transformed lives to faithfully follow God each day. He enjoys being a pastor because it has provided him ample opportunities to encounter others in powerful and sacred ways. Honoring the stories of others, as well as sharing his own journey of faith, Tim seeks to create a sense of holy hospitality—safe spaces where people can dig deeper and allow personal and communal transformation to occur. Tim is seeking to notice and live out the redemptive possibilities of God in his preaching, teaching, and relationships as he leads our congregation.
