Center of Hope (Haiti), Inc.
The mission of the Center of Hope (Haiti), Inc. is to help the poorest of the poor children in Haiti become the most productive members of their society that they can be.
The Center is a fulfillment of the vision of Emmanuel St. Juste, who was born in Hinche, Haiti, where his parents raised five boys and five girls amid abject poverty. Trained in the ministry in Haiti, St. Juste came to Stamford, Connecticut, in 1974, where he formed the French Speaking Baptist Church of Stamford.
He shared his vision to build an orphanage in Haiti with many organizations and individuals, including James Lipscomb, a former member of First Baptist Church of White Plains. In 2004 Lipscomb enabled the formation of the Center and its tax-exempt status.
Through a variety of modest fundraising activities, First Baptist is proud to continue supporting the work of the Center.
